The youngest members of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers celebrated the annual pioneer party at Grandma Johnson's. They had tons of fun playing in the covered wagon, making their own butter, and playing hide and seek with other pioneer children.

Long Awaited High Adventure

Thanks to awesome youth leaders that are willing to take a week of work off....my sons get to go on an experience of a lifetime. 200 mile bike ride from Santa Cruz to Montana de Oro. You can go on google earth and see the route all along Hwy One! Praying for a safe return.

Simplicity

Summer is going so by so quickly and each day seems so chaotic. But yesterday, we all pitched in and got the house organized. It was such a great feeling to have a clean, organized home. Nathan had brought me a gardenia from outside. For a brief moment, I enjoyed a clean counter and the smell of my favorite flower. The simple things really do bring satisfaction.
Five years old! Kate had a fun birthday party with her cousins and brothers. We even made the boys wear princess crowns! She made her own princess pinata and we played some fun games.

Her first bike! She loved getting decked out in elbow and knee pads and helmet. She is all ready for kindergarten.
Wyett was ordained a priest. It was such a great experience to see Nathan and Wyett bless the sacrament together. Time is flying by.

Kate and Wyett celebrated birthdays and the 4th of July together!

Happy Birthday Wyett! Thanks for wanting to spend your 16th with your family.

Kate's Cousin Day!

Kate and Brynn are best buddies. They love to be together. Aunt Laurie found these cute matching outfits and they had tons of fun being twins for the day.

Wyett is 16 years old today! There is something to be said for children that are born first.....they have to suffer through first time parents! He is such a blessing in our life. He strives to do what is right and be an example to others. He is a hard worker and shows compassion to those in need. I know he will accomplish many things in his life. One of his friends was sitting in class at summer school and a group of girls said, "this fourth of July we have something extra to celebrate...." The friend asked what? they replied, "Wyett is turning 16 and can date now" I thought it was pretty funny. But I also realize what it really means. He has held his standards high and let everyone around him know his beliefs. We love you, Wyett! Happy Birthday.
